What to do in North Devon

The old Wheelwright’s workshop is a recent conversion completed in August 2008.

Set in beautiful, unspoilt, rolling Devonshire countryside, this is the perfect setting for your holiday in North Devon.

Although set in a rural location, The Old Wheelwright’s Workshop is just 10 minutes from the historic market town of Great Torrington. Here, a visit to RHS Rosemoor gardens and Dartington Crystal glass blowing are popular attractions. Alternatively take a stroll or cycle along the Tarka Trail.

The Old Wheelwright’s workshop offers easy access to North Devon’s finest beaches. Westward Ho! is within 30 mins and Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde all within an hour. Also within an hour’s drive are the scenic moors of Dartmoor to the south and Exmoor to the north.

Activities such as walking, cycling, pony trekking, coarse fishing and golf are all conveniently situated (bicycles available). The Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks provide all-weather family activities.

So whether you want a peaceful retreat or an action packed holiday, The Old Wheelwright’s Workshop provides an ideal location.
